All flats have cooking facilities, a shared kitchen with a hob, oven, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, plates mugs and cutlery.
The food court on site is open for breakfast in the morning from 7am until 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you are staying on-site, the cost of breakfast is included in your stay.
On Friday only, the food court on site is open for lunch until 3pm. The cost of lunch is not included in your stay.
On Saturday, weather permitting, we are planning a picnic lunch on the lawn – bring your own food to eat or to share. On Sunday we encourage everyone to bring out their leftover food for a big communal picnic before we go home.
BiCon attendees often form groups for the purpose of going to local restaurants. Look out for information at the desk.
The local high street is Otley Road, approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the campus. Here you will find shops, cafés, fast food places, restaurants, a small supermarket, pharmacies, banks and cash machines.
5 minutes from our site, at the near end of Otley Road, is a service station with a Spar shop. This is open 24 hours.
Also at the closer end of Otley Road are pubs that serve food during the day: the New Inn, the Three Horseshoes, Woodies Craft Ale.
It’s perfectly OK to order takeaway to be delivered to BiCon. There are the usual array for different cuisines nearby that will be able to deliver to BiCon, and the information area at the front desk will have details.
