LFT tests, towels, online links, WiFi, checking in, getting here

Oh my gosh! One day to go!

Your BiCon team have tested covid negative on our LFTs (woohoo!) and are starting to arrive on site to set up for tomorrow. Make sure you have an LFT test kit and take a photo of your test tomorrow morning to show at registration desk along with your proof of vaccination (or medical exemption).
Good news about the bedrooms – I just found out (when I walked into my room) that towels are provided! One medium and one small, so pack your own if you need a large towel still. Dish soap & kitchen spray are also provided, but I've not found any teatowels yet.
For everyone attending online sessions, we're delighted to have shared the links to online portions of the event in the latest email. Open this document to find the list of links you can use to access online content this weekend. At the moment it's only partially filled in, but it will be complete by the time everything begins.
There is WiFi on campus. The name of the network is "Glide". If you tap on your device to join the network, you just need to create an account and click a link that it will send to your email. It takes about an hour after creating the account to actually set up, so you can use that time to settle in or wander the campus and find where the best phone coverage is.
There will be more stages than usual to on-site check-in to keep us covid-safe & ensure people have had anti-racism training. We will have tables outside accommodation to check LFT, proof of (or exemption from) vaccine, and anti-racism training. Once we have checked these, we'll give badges, and direct you inside to get your keys, decorate your badges and settle in.
More info and pictures to help with getting here can be found at https://2022.bicon.org.uk/venue/ . Check it out before you set off tomorrow morning.

See you all very soon,

Bethan
