One week left to book for:
- Accommodation tickets
- Creche spaces
- Online tickets with anti-racism training
If you're attending online and have already completed anti-racism training, or are attending in-person without an accommodation ticket, you can book your ticket online or at the desk right up until the day you arrive.
So why the different deadlines if BiCon isn't for another 6 weeks?
The venue have requested to know which flats will be in use some time before the event, so we are bound by their deadline. In addition, our wonderful room-allocation team member is endeavouring to ensure that people have their requested room specifications fulfilled (with accessibility needs prioritised).
We're also bound by the deadline for the creche company because they need to find the right person for the family.
For the online anti-racism training, dates that everyone can make are being arranged now, and if bookings are made after the training has passed, then attendees will miss out on training. We are ensuring that there will be anti-racism training on the Friday and Saturday of in-person BiCon, but we don't have anyone who can offer training to sufficient depth online. We are working really hard to combat racism and microaggressions within our community, so if people haven't had anti-racism training, then we will have to turn them away from BiCon.
So if you need accommodation, childcare, or anti-racism training, make sure to book within the next week. We will not be able to take bookings for these after Monday July 4th.
