Anti-racism training.

This year, we are providing free anti-racism training for all attendees who haven't had it in previous years. In return, we expect all attendees to engage with the training.

I'm sorry to say that a significant minority haven't engaged, despite the awesome work put in by Rachel, our team member responsible for arranging this.

We're trying to rebuild trust with the bis of colour community here. A lot of the rebuilding of trust can involve doing things that you don't really see the point of, but which the other person has asked for.

If we offer training, but then say 'but these people didn't think they needed the training so we took them at their word and let them in anyway', then that trust evaporates.

To be blunt, if people do not engage with training, whether online or at the venue, we regret that we will need to ask you to leave.

Some people might have missed previous posts about this, or Rachel's emails. If you have read this post, please please please boost and share it to your friends attending BiCon.

We don't want people missing out. I refuse to break the trust of bisexuals of colour who have been asking for this for too long.

Thankyou,

Bethan
